Summary description
Are you an experienced administrator? Are you ready to join the UK’s leading educational charity in transforming futures?

This post is jointly funded by The Big Lottery Fund and European Social Fund.

This is a Building Better Opportunities funded project.

Background Information

Building Better Opportunities (BBO)

Big Lottery Fund is matching funds from the European Social Fund (ESF) 2014-2020 to invest in local projects tackling the root causes of poverty, promoting social inclusion and driving local jobs and growth.

The WEA is an educational charity delivering responsive, relevant and accessible programmes of learning across England and Scotland. Through our vision of employability, health and wellbeing, community engagement and cultural studies, we raise the educational aspirations of local communities.

We are seeking to recruit an Education Support Assistant to provide administrative support for the project activities on the BBO Building Family Bridges project helping to ensure that outputs and outcomes are met according to contract requirements.

Our students come from every walk of life, and we want to be as diverse as they are, so we are keen to hear from candidates from minority backgrounds. However, it’s not about where you’ve come from so much as what you can contribute: we need someone with great organisational skills, a strong administrative background and the highest standard of IT literacy. Needless to say, you will be self-motivated, team-spirited and very flexible, and you will share our passion for education as a tool of transformation.
