Sharing skills; improving lives
Ian and Jagdip – our Lloyds volunteer story
Ian and Jagdip discuss how rewarding it has been joining the WEA and Lloyds volunteer partnership programme: “You don’t get a more rewarding day than getting the chance to improve someone’s life...It’s not often you get to use the skills you’ve been given at work to help support people outside of work. It’s really satisfying…Whether it’s just that little tip that helps someone interview better or help their confidence…”
Being presented with the opportunity to help people progress in their career for me has been really satisfying.” Jagdip “You often approach these things with a degree of uncertainty because you don’t know what you can add…but ultimately if you can help people achieve something it makes you appreciate what you have even more – in a lot of different ways.
