This course is for women only. It will be held at the Dolphin Women's Centre, Washwood Heath, Birmingham and is an ESOL course for learners at Entry Level 1. The course will help you to develop your basic writing skills in English. This is an English course aimed at adults for whom English is not their first language. You will get lots of opportuntities to practice your new English skills in groups and individually, you will also be given homework tasks so you can continue to practice at home. This course is 30 hours of follow-on skills for the Beginner Sewing into Business course. On this course you will learn how to carry out essential alterations. The ESOL Skills in Action course is an exciting additional course which engages learners for an addition session. The course is designed to give them the opportunity to build their confidence using their newly learned ESOL skills, by letting them put them into practice in a safe environment. It focuses on giving the learners the opportunity to use their speaking and listening skills to engage with the tutor and their classmates, celebrate their own achievements in completing their previous course and stretch themselves to engage in a class activity. The course should help to build the learner’s confidence so that they feel comfortable enough to use these new ESOL skills in their day to day lives.
