Course overview

This very popular course is for learners who wish to increase their confidence, learn how to identify their skills to progress into employment or other WEA courses. The course will also focus on how learners can identify stress triggers, symptoms and how to deal with them. Potential barriers to personal progress will be explored, so will methods to overcome them. You will also learn about the importance of setting goals and how to set them. The course will help you to identify next steps, how and where to obtain information to help them to progress.

Course description

Do you ever experience self doubt or lack self-confidence? Perhaps around new people or at job interviews? If so, this confidence course can help you build tools to face these situations with confidence. Low self-esteem can hold you back in all areas of life. Whether you’d like to build confidence to step back into education, meet new people, or change jobs, confidence-building courses can teach you essential tools to change your mindset. Learn how to build self-esteem and overcome obstacles that are holding you back.

The specific aims of this will enable you to:

-Demonstrate increased self confidence using specific skills developed during the course.

-Identify three transferable skills and explain the value of those skills.

-Identify two stress triggers in their own lives and indicate steps which could reduce stress.

-Identify potential barriers to personal progress and indicate how these might be overcome.

-Identify personal next steps and know where to access information and support for these.

This course will be delivered face to face in Leeds at Feel Good Factor and is open to beginners too.
