Course overview

This course is a short introduction into the world of Hair and Beauty. 5 x 2-hour sessions that will give you the opportunity to try out and learn professional methods used in this creative industry. Learn the art of hand massage, for relaxation, well-being and for good circulation, learn make-up and skincare methods and learn some hairdressing styling techniques. This course is suitable for anyone wishing to build confidence in how they present themselves to the world and to those considering hair and beauty as a professional career, that employs many people in our communities. We all like to be pampered, so come along and meet up with people who have an interest in this creative industry. Pamper yourself because you're worth it.

Course description

Take the first steps to learn if Hair and Beauty is the career pathway for you. Or simply come along if you are wanting to learn modern looks and styles, then this is the course for you. During the course you will have hands on practical experience plus handouts to take home and guide you through the course. All equipment and products will be provided, and your tutor will work closely with you to ensure you feel comfortable and confident in the treatments that you carry out either on yourself or on other course members. After this course you will be able to work up the different level building confidence to then sign-up to accredited course’s that are recognised with in the industry. There are many pathways from this basic course that will help you develop your career prospects, or self-esteem and wellbeing. Your tutor is highly trained in the industry and can help you develop your career plans.

We don't want anything to stand in your way when it comes to bringing Adult learning within reach so if you need anything to support you to achieve your goals then speak to one of our education experts during your enrolment journey.
