Course overview

This course will be taught face to face in venue by our highly qualified tutor. This course will enable participants to identify and apply for volunteer opportunities. This fun and engaging course will help to develop learners skills in being able to identify what constitutes as an essential attribute of being a volunteer and how to research to find a potential volunteering opportunity. Learners will be given resources and information to best equip them in making the first steps to becoming a volunteer.

Course description

This course will be taught in venue in a face to face taught session with our highly skilled and experienced tutor. Learners will be given information and resources to help them to develop a wider knowlege about volunteering. This course will provide an introduction to volunteering. It will cover how to find and apply for a volunteer opportunity, key skills and knowledge including communication, equality and safeguarding. Learners will be expected to interact with our online learning platform Canvas to gather evidence of the learning taking place for each week of the course. Learners will be given help in enabling them to complete tasks set by the tutor.They will also gain knowledge of volunteering and how they can use this to seek out their own volunteering opportunities in their own community. The tutor will help the learners to gain confidence in this subject using her skills and experience which will help to deepen their understanding of the learning taking place week on week.
