THIS IS A FREE 'MULTIPLY' COURSE FOR NORFOLK RESIDENTS ONLY. Please only apply for this course if you live in the County of Norfolk, UK. This course will provide students with the confidence to use the Internet independently for online buying and selling. You will be able to browse for goods and services on several websites, check stock availability and reserve items. You will learn how to set up a PayPal account and make purchases using this method. You will also learn the best platforms for selling your items, as well as how to market products for sale, write descriptions and take high quality photographs to promote your items.

Course description

Selling things you no longer need, is a great way to earn a bit of extra cash and declutter your home. Nowadays, there are so many simple, easy-to-use platforms, selling online has never been easier.

Discover the art of optimising product listings, utilising social media platforms for marketing. Seamlessly navigate e-payment systems and craft captivating product images. With our expert guidance, you'll acquire the essential IT knowledge and skills required to make the most from online selling.

Explore a variety of platforms for online sales and shopping. Learn how to set up an online shop on Ebay, Vinted, or another platform of your choice.

Understand online safety and how to make transactions securely. Gain awareness of scams and threats that exist in the online sales world.

We will also show you how to use different platforms and online tools to search for bargains so that you can get the best value for money on your purchases of goods and services.

This course is useful for anyone who wants to gain confidence making transactions online. You’ll need access to the internet to take this selling online course. Your tutor will upload useful materials to Canvas, the WEA’s digital learning platform.
