Course overview
Course description
The WEA (Workers' Educational Association) is proud to offer a specialised course designed to empower learners with learning difficulties and disabilities on their journey towards meaningful employment. Our "Preparation for Work" course is a comprehensive program that focuses on five key areas: Independence, employability, personal growth, life skills, and wellbeing.
Throughout the course, participants will gain valuable employability skills that are essential for success in the workforce. This includes problem-solving abilities, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate within a team. Role-playing exercises will be a dynamic tool used to act out various scenarios, allowing learners to practice these skills in a safe and supportive environment.
In addition to improving their employability skills, participants will have the opportunity to engage with their local community through a project. This project will not only serve as a testament to their newfound knowledge and abilities but also foster connections and collaboration within the community.
Our WEA course is committed to nurturing the potential of all individuals, regardless of their learning difficulties and disabilities. We believe that by empowering learners in these critical areas, we can help them build a path to independence, personal growth, and ultimately, a more fulfilling and productive life.
