Course description

This diploma covers a wide range of leadership and management topics. You can select units of study based on your area of interest. This leadership and management training covers the core skills required for managerial roles.

Understand prioritisation and delegation. Get to grips with project management and leading meetings. Explore ways to motivate people and improve performance. Develop skills to drive change in your organisation, including creating a culture of innovation. Learn fundamental team leader skills for managing people and relationships. Explore negotiation, networking, and much more.

To receive your qualification, you must complete 37 units of study. It usually takes around 370 hours to complete.

ILM leadership and management courses prepare you to achieve senior management roles. The objective of this leadership training is to teach you practical skills to apply in a job role as a team leader, line manager, or Head of Department.

You can also progress to further study after completing this Leadership training. You can study for an ILM Level 4 Award, Certificate or Diploma in Leadership and Management.

The Institute for Leadership and Management is an internationally respected Leadership training qualification.

To take this course you’ll need to have access to the internet. You’ll communicate with your tutor and access learning materials through Canvas, the WEA’s digital learning portal.
