Course overview
Course description
In the United Kingdom, school systems consists mainly of primary and secondary schools. There are state-funded schools for everyone and special schools for children with special needs (SEND). Independent schools are private schools where parents pay for education.
Primary schools teach kids aged 4 to 11, focusing on basic subjects like math and reading. Secondary schools educate those aged 11 to 16, offering a wider range of subjects. At 16, students take exams called GCSEs. Afterward, they can continue to college for two more years or go straight to work. In college, students specialize in subjects they like. At 18, they take A-levels for university entry. Some go to universities, which offer higher education and specialized degrees. Teachers guide students' learning throughout these stages.
