Do you want to practice with support and have your questions about digital skills answered? Want to learn about how to use tablets, smartphone, or laptops and how to use the internet safely? This is the course for you. A friendly and positive tutor will help you to learn the basics of using a device, along with how to send emails, attach files, and spot fake news or scams online. This is a course for beginners or those wanting to improve their skills. You will get to practice, ask questions, and work with others in a friendly and supportive classroom. This course is for learners that access Jobs 22 Lincoln only

Course description

This is a digital skills course for beginners. If you want to learn basic computer skills and/or learn to use the internet safely, this course will help you get started. You will get to develop your own trouble shooting skills, solve digital problems and learn where to find information or support.

By the end of your course, you will have achieved the following...

Describe how to search for online jobs.

Identify scam job posts.

Describe how to protect digital reputation.

Demonstrate how to send, and attach files to, emails.

Evaluate your trouble shooting skills.

Don’t worry if you are nervous or have no experience of using devices, your friendly tutor will support you every step of the way, in a positive and understandable manner. You will get hands on practice and tutor step by step demonstrations.

Taking this course would develop your ability to search, select and apply for live jobs posts.

Taking this course would give you the confidence and skills to independently research or learn online.

Taking this course would give you the basic skills to continue to learn about digital tools, you could consider a Level 1 course or take courses teaching you how to use software packages.

We don't want anything to stand in your way when it comes to bringing Adult learning within reach so if you need anything to support you to achieve your goals then speak to one of our education experts during your enrolment journey. Most of our courses are government funded but if you don't qualify or need.
