Entry Levels 1,2,3: If you have never studied this subject before and you’re not confident in your skills, Entry levels are a good starting point.
Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject
Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.
Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.
Beginners: A perfect introduction if you have no experience and skills in this subject.
Improvers: The next step if you have basic skills or knowledge but want to progress them further.

Course description
This Basic IT course for ESOL learners is aimed at individuals who wish to develop their computer skills in a supportive, beginner-friendly environment. The course provides an introduction to essential IT concepts, focusing on practical skills that are necessary for everyday life and work. Participants will learn how to use computers, navigate the internet, set up and manage email accounts, and use word processing and other basic software.
The course also offers a chance for learners to improve their English language skills in the context of technology. Through hands-on activities and real-life scenarios, learners will gain confidence in using digital tools for communication, job searches, and accessing online services. Special attention is given to developing vocabulary related to computers and technology, and learners will have opportunities to practice speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in English.
