Online courses allow students from all regions to access skills and gives you flexibility to learn in the comfort of your own surrounding. But what if this is your first time using an online learning platform or maybe it has been some time since you used online learning. This using canvas course will support you to develop confidence and skills in understanding how to use canvas to get the best experience of online learning. You will learn how to use all the functions in canvas with the support of your online tutor. The course will give students an introduction to accessing and using canvas in preparation for future online courses. Course description

Canvas is the WEA’s digital learning platform. WEA Canvas courses teach you everything you need to know about studying with the WEA. By the end of this course, you will be able to use Canvas to:

• contact your tutor and classmates

• download and upload files

• complete quizzes

• take part in discussions

• access additional support

This digital skills course prepares you to study online with the WEA. Canvas is used for both online and face-to-face courses.

If you want to learn digital skills not covered by this course, you may consider a general digital skills course that covers the use of a variety of apps and devices.

If you’re not sure which courses suit your needs, feel free to discuss your options with your WEA tutor who will be happy to advise you.

Please note that you’ll need access to the internet to take this online Canvas course. You’ll also need access to a digital device such as a laptop, phone, or tablet.

Most of our courses are free for most of our learners. Please note that you need to get to the end of the enrolment process to see the discounts.

What financial support is available?

We don't want anything to stand in your way when it comes to bringing Adult learning within reach so if you need anything to support you to achieve your goals then speak to one of our education experts during your enrolment journey. Most of our courses are government funded but if you don't qualify or need alternative financial help to access them then let us know.

All of our digital content, teaching and learning activities and assessments are designed to be accessible so if you need any additional support you can discuss this with the education experts during your enrolment journey and we will do all we can to make sure you have optimal access.
