Personal Development: The Art of Hair and Make Up

This course is to take place in the fantastic surroundings of a professional hair and beauty academy in the South Shields area of South Tyneside.

You will be guided through your course by our highly qualified hair and beauty lecturers, who have vast areas of knowledge from both sides of the industry. In this course you will learn the following, Understand the importance of health and safety when carrying out hair and beauty treatments,. You will be able to describe the different hair and make up treatments available in a salon. You will be able to identify products, tools and equipment for hair and make up services. You will discuss contra- indications that can affect hair styling/ pin ups and the suitability of clients for a service and you will perform make- up and hair styling services with confidence while meeting client requirements. This is a sixteen week course on a Monday afternoon, over three hours. The course could lead to employment of to Further Education.
