Personal Development: Preparing for the Driving Theory Test

In many parts of the UK a driving license and access to a car can give you more options for jobs, your family’s education and many leisure activities. If English is not your first language then this course will introduce you to some of the important skills and knowledge to improve your confidence with the English language, pass your driving theory test and understand the UK road system and rules.

We will introduce the rules and regulations of driving and the Highway Code. You will learn about the different parts of a car and their uses. We’ll also look at how to book your driving theory test and what to expect. You will also complete a mock test to assess your progress.

You will need access to a laptop, or smartphone, and the internet to access the weekly online group learning sessions.

You will also need a minimum of Entry 2 or 3 English to participate in this course. If you have not already had a skills assessment to check your English level we can arrange this and refer you to suitable preparation courses so that you can reach this level
