This course teaches you essential maths skills through practical examples. It’s ideal for you if you would like to further progress onto entry level three maths and eventually intermediate and GCSE-equivalent maths qualification. Learn maths as an adult and enjoy the experience. Whether you have studied basic Maths before or you are completely new to it, you will find value in this Maths course. Course description

Has Maths always been a problem for you? This Basic Mathematics course deals with a number of basic mathematical concepts that will be used during your study and/or work life.

This course is based on face-to-face teaching in a classroom setting. This course aims to enable you to build on your previous mathematical knowledge and to increase your understanding, confidence and skill set in order to use mathematics in everyday situations.

There are 5 learning outcomes on this course. You will need to achieve these outcomes in order to pass the course. You are expected to attend the classes regularly and be punctual. You are expected to participate in class and complete any homework given by the tutor.

Please note that you’ll need an internet connection to study this course. This is so you can access our digital learning platform, Canvas. We use Canvas for homework, and also for tasks and activities in the classroom.
