Course overview

During this twelve week mindfulness intermediate course, the learners will have the opportunity to experience to build on their mindful knowledge and techniques to reduce their stress levels and improve their general wellbeing, for example mindful breathing, mindful brain, and mindful activities. A few minutes a day paying attention to yourself and letting yourself have a calming moment within your busy lives and performing everyday tasks in a different mindful way can reduce your stress levels and increase your inner calm state.

Course description

This course is for learners, who have some knowledge and experiences of mindfulness and want to gain a further understanding and experiences of how mindfulness can help you reduce your stress levels.

• Each week a different theme will be introduced and explored, to discover which mindful technique suits your lifestyle. Understand the mindful brain and how to keep it positive through your mindful practices.

• We will look at proactive ways to embed mindfulness into your busy daily lives.

• The course will be delivered by an experienced mindfulness tutor. During the sessions, there will be plenty of time for discussion, individual and group activities.

After the course you should be able to identify multiple mindfulness techniques and explain to your tutor or peer the benefits of your favoured approach. Moreover, you will be able to ascertain the mental and physical benefits associated with mindfulness. You will be able to draw upon many activities, including sensory techniques, to help build your reflective journal.

Most of our courses are government funded but if you don't qualify or need alternative financial help to access them then let us know.
