Course overview

If you have ever heard of this interesting art, you may be aware that Feng shui is an ancient Chinese practice that focuses on the relevance of buildings, objects, and spaces to achieve harmony and balance within your home environment with an aim to promote well-being and prosperity. It's a system of aligning a person's environment with their energy flow, based on the principles of Taoism and the interaction of the five elements: wood, fire, earth, metal, and water. During this course you will learn how to use the bagua, a map used to divide your space into nine separate areas, each relating to a different theme.

Course description

Join this friendly, relaxed course designed to give you a basic and fun overview on how to use this age-old system to promote a positive energy flow in your home environment. We will cover how to use the bagua, we will look at some ideas of what to place and where within your home. During this Feng Shui course we will also cover some of the principles of aligning environments with the natural flow of energy, called "Qi," you can increase harmony and well-being to each area of your home, garden or separate rooms. We will also cover a brief the history of Feng Shui, its core concepts like Yin and Yang, and practical applications for improving your personal spaces. Other aspects of this course will include Chi Energy how to improve flow and blockages, ways of working and clearing clutter and health home concepts. We will touch on the 5 elements and working with Yin and Yang how numerology works, space clearing and dowsing rods. Work through your home, room by room and explore ways you can clear and cleanse your space. We will explore shapes and symbols. A great way to fill your time during those summer months.
