This short course in Catering Skills is specifically for students with LLDD needs, who would like to gain skills in the catering sector. Working with a dedicated Tutor to develop essential skills working in the food industry.

Course description

This course is designed to develop your skills and understanding of health & hygiene and safe food preparation practices when working in the food industry and commercial kitchens. You will be able to demonstrate and describe how you approach excellent standards in health & hygiene in the workplace, the products used and the tools needed to maintain highly effective cleanliness standards. Working with a dedicated Tutor, you will learn how to prepare food safely, which tools are the most appropriate for the task and how to clean and maintain equipment. Once you have completed this course, you will have the skills necessary to safely work in the kitchen at Trinity Church.

What financial support is available?

We don't want anything to stand in your way when it comes to bringing Adult learning within reach so if you need anything to support you to achieve your goals then speak to one of our education experts during your enrolment journey. Most of our courses are government funded but if you don't qualify or need alternative financial help to access them then let us know.
