Course overview

"This is a 10-week course that is aimed at those who already have a level 1 in Makaton. This is mainly a practical course with tutor demonstrations and guidance to help you learn the skills of Makaton. There will be handouts to take away with you so you can keep practicing and all paperwork will be uploaded into our learning platform canvas, so you can always refer back to it. During the course you will learn how to communicate with others using Makaton signs and symbols. These techniques can be used in schools with children who are learning to speak, with people who have suffered strokes and unable to verbally communicate. "
