Course overview
Course description
Following the shorter budgeting course, this slightly longer course will allow us to explore budgeting in more depth. It will allow us to use Maths tools to calculate costs, use comparison websites or use a simple spreadsheet. This course may feed in to functional skills courses. This course will help you build your confidence with budgeting and language related to budgeting. Have you wanted to better understand your bills but don’t know how to compare costs? Do you want to learn how to use a simple spreadsheet and simple formulas? You can discuss different strategies, share budgeting ideas and learn what others do to budget. Learn simple costings and start to look at simple calculations. This course will provide a safe place to talk about budgeting issues. The course will be held at Seetec Pluss, G17, Arena Business Centre, Threefield Lane, Southampton, SO14 3LP. This course is part of Southampton City Council’s Multiply programme and is free to residents of Southampton who live in the following postcodes SO14, SO15, SO16, SO17, SO18 and SO19.
