Course description

Foundations of Arithmetic:

Numeracy for Budgeting:

Introduction to budgeting concepts.

Use mathematical skills to create, analyse, and adjust budgets.

Percentage Calculations:

Understand and apply percentages in financial calculations.

Calculate discounts, interest rates, and percentage changes.

Fractions and Decimals in Financial Context:

Work with fractions and decimals in financial calculations.

Convert between fractions and decimals.

Interest and Time Value of Money:

Understand simple and compound interest when purchasing a large item.

Practical Applications in Personal Finance:

Apply mathematical concepts to real-life financial situations.

Engage in practical exercises to reinforce learning.
