Course overview

Our greatest novelists are also often fantastic short story writers, and this day school highlights some of the short (but mighty) masterpieces that have stimulated generations of readers over the years.

Course description

We be revisitting some of the old literary favourites in this day school. Follow James Joyce through the streets of Dublin, read Daphne du Maurier’s unsettling story The Birds, touch on Edgar Allen Poe’s nightmares in The Tell-Tale Heart - plus some of the finest short works of fiction from other great writers.

You'll be learning, reading and discussing these brilliant tales with likeminded learners. Controversial opinions and in-depth anaylysis is welcome!
