This beginners’ term 3 course will provide you with some basic everyday language you need to get by on a visit to Greece or Cyprus, as well as an insight into the Greek lifestyle and culture. The course is taught by a well-qualified and experienced native speaker with many years’ teaching experience. Course description

This online Modern Greek course is aimed at learners who have already completed a basic introductory course over one or two terms, and who are looking to develop their basic language skills and learn more about the Greek people and their culture. In a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, you will have plenty of opportunities to practice your speaking and listening skills so that you can feel confident to use them with Greek speakers. Although the emphasis will be on speaking and listening skills, the course will also help you improve your grammar and vocabulary and refresh your knowledge of the Greek alphabet so that you can read items on a menu and place names with more confidence.

Topics include ordering food and drink at a taverna, telling the time and making basic enquiries about public transport. The course is taught by a well-qualified and experienced native speaker with many years’ teaching experience who will help you explore the language and the culture.
