Do you want to learn French? C’est parti! Let’s go! Study this French language beginner’s course to learn the essentials to get by in France. This French course will immerse you into this vibrant culture while you daydream about your next trip. This is an introductory-level French language course. You’ll learn basic grammar and vocabulary to be able to start communicating right away. It’s ideal if you want to dip your toe into the language. Learn to use the present simple tense and formulate basic questions. Explore foundational vocabulary to introduce yourself and talk about your life. Gain basic speaking skills so that you can take part in oral activities from day one. Understand spoken French by practising listening skills. Read short texts from newspapers and magazines to build up vocabulary.

Course description

This French course is aimed at complete beginners looking for an introduction into the language. We’ll start from scratch so you don’t need any prior knowledge to sign up.

This taster course can help you decide if you’d like to continue studying French. When you complete this level, you can progress to the improver’s French language course to continue developing your language skills.

If you’d like to get an accredited qualification, this short course can prepare you to take an A1 French course.

To study this beginner’s French course you’ll need an internet connection. This is so you can access our digital learning platform, Canvas.
