Entry Levels 1,2,3: If you have never studied this subject before and you’re not confident in your skills, Entry levels are a good starting point.
Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject
Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.
Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.
Beginners: A perfect introduction if you have no experience and skills in this subject.

Course description
This Makaton course is aimed at anyone wanting to upskill their knowledge. The popular signs and symbols method is used widely by teachers, health professional, friends, families and public service bodies.
If you want to improve your CV or support your own children, this course will give you all the necessary skills.
By using Makaton, children and adults can take a more active part in life. Used as a way to support speech for stroke sufferers, learning difficulties, poor literacy skills or early years who are just learning to speak.
The course is delivered through practical activities using handouts for support. By the end of the course, you will be able to recognize Makaton signs and symbols and sign symbol sentences.
This course has the opportunity t progress onto the next level.
