Course description
All our Care2 courses are completely free for unpaid carers (or those who have previously been carers). You do not need to receive a carer's allowance to qualify. If you are unsure, please contact our call centre advisors who will be able to assist you.
Join us today for this one-off session where you will learn all about the Maldon Embroidery. How did it come about? Who worked on it? How was it designed and made? We will discuss all these questions and then consider each of the seven panels in turn, picking out the themes and motifs in the design and exploring the history of Maldon through some of its most famous events and recognisable people and buildings. During this fascinating class you will be supported in your learning through photos and maps that will give you the tools to visit the embroidery and all the important places associated with it, at a time that suits you.
This class will be taught through a slideshow presentation, group discussions and notes. You will leave this class not only with the knowledge and understanding of the history of Maldon embroidery but also the details of how and when to see it all with your own eyes
