An illustrated day school covering the three centuries when the Vikings raided and subsequently settled in Anglo-Saxon Britain
Course description
For three centuries the Danes and Norwegians raided and, later, settled in the British Isles. The day school will look at both aspects, the effects the Vikings had on Anglo-Saxon life and Canute the Great’s Anglo-Danish empire with its capital at Winchester.
Slides will illustrate the constructions and artefacts which were created by the Vikings in Britains
