Course overview
Course description
Over the centuries people have confided their thoughts on events personal, local and national to their diaries; a large number of those local diaries have survived.
This course aims to look at life and events through the writings of the ordinary people who witnessed them and stars a new cast of local diarists from a variety of backgrounds. If you would like to consider daily life and historic events through the words of people who witnessed those events, rather through later interpretation, this is the course for you.
