Fancy spending more time in nature and being part of something positive? This welcoming one day taster workshop hosted at the fantastic Bosavern Community Farm in St Just, will give the opportunity explore nature and natural farming . On this friendly and uplifting course we will have our hands in the soil, practicing techniques in organic food growing , regenerative farming and enhancing biodiversity On this day you will be able to learn more about all the exciting forthcoming community courses taking place at Bosavern Farm in 2024!

Course description

This welcoming course is open to all people with various abilities and levels of experience

A great opportunity to benefit from spending time in the out of doors, whilst pursuing your interest in nature and meeting others in your community.

The day will be hosted at the award winning Bosavern Community Farm in St Just and facilitated by one of our experienced tutors

During this short course you will have the chance to get a taste of community farming . This will include practical sessions in organic food growing such as making vegetable beds, seed sowing , harvesting seasonal vegetables .

There are many forthcoming courses planned at the Bosavern farm, for 2024 and you will have the chance to learn more about them, and to enrol with the WEA on any courses of your choice.

This is an out door based day, but we will have an contingency plan to work with nature under shelter, if the weather is too bad to remain outside ! Please bring a packed lunch, water bottle, appropriate clothes , including waterproofs if needed, and sturdy foot wear

What financial support is available?

We don't want anything to stand in your way when it comes to bringing Adult learning within reach so if you need anything to support you to achieve your goals then speak to one of our education experts during your enrolment journey. Most of our courses are government funded but if you don't qualify or need alternative financial help to access them then let us know.

All of our digital content, teaching and learning activities and assessments are designed to be accessible so if you need any additional support you can discuss this with the education experts during your enrolment journey and we will do all we can to make sure you have optimal access.
