Course overview
Course description
This course is for people who would like to improve their English language speaking skills to help with their work or study. The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is designed to help people work, study or migrate to a country where English is the native language. This includes countries such as Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK and USA. IELTS is an internationally recognised test for determining the English proficiency of non-native English speakers.
The IELTS course is intensive and advanced, focusing on all of the skills you need to improving your vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar and speaking. You will concentrate on developing effective IELTS examination techniques, do regular examination question practice, including a mid-course practice exam, and receive regular feedback to help improve your skills and understanding of what is required.
You will need access to a laptop, or tablet, and the internet to access the weekly online group learning sessions.
You will also need a minimum of Level 3 English to participate in this course. If you have not already had a skills assessment to check your English level we can arrange this and refer you to suitable preparation courses so that you can reach this level.
