Course description
This Literature course is specially designed for ESOL Entry 2/3 learners to improve their English skills through the study of literature. The course helps students develop reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills by exploring short stories, poems, and excerpts from novels. Throughout the course, students will read various texts and participate in discussions to understand themes, characters, and settings. These activities will enhance their comprehension and appreciation of literature. Group discussions provide a platform for students to express their ideas and opinions, improving their speaking and listening skills. Creative writing exercises encourage students to use their imagination and practice writing in English. Role-playing activities allow learners to act out scenes from the texts, making learning interactive and fun. By the end of the course, students will have a better understanding of English literature and improved language skills. They will feel more confident in reading and discussing literary works, as well as in expressing their thoughts in English. This course aims to foster a love for literature while building essential language skills, helping learners enjoy and appreciate English literature.
