Course description

On this ESOL course, everyday life will be explored (for example, shopping, health, local area and services).

 

This course is based on face-to-face teaching in a classroom setting.

 

You will learn about:

 

·       Alphabets and numbers.

·       Asking for and giving basic personal information.

·       New vocabulary, words and phrases.

·       Developing your reading, writing and speaking and listening skills.

 

In addition to language structures; citizenship, employability and digital skills will also be embedded in the programme to help you develop valuable transferable skills.

 

Assessment of learning will be done regularly throughout the course so that you can map your academic progression with us at the WEA.

Information, advice and guidance will also be given to enable further course/professional progression to enable you to progress into other study areas or prepare you for the world of employment.
