Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject
Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.
Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.

Course description
ESOL for Life and Work is designed to help non-native English speakers improve their language skills for everyday and professional contexts. This course covers speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary and punctuation. By using a different topic each week, learners will develop their understanding of different aspects of life and work in the UK whilst practicing a wide range of skills in an online group environment. Participants will learn practical vocabulary and phrases used in real life situations, such as how to manage issues with health, education and housing, how to discuss politics, tourism and technology and how to navigate formal and informal language, inclusive language and different dialects and idioms. The course includes interactive activities, group discussions and debates and reading real-life texts that encourage active participation and real-life practice. Emphasis is placed on building confidence and fluency in English, ensuring that learners can communicate effectively in various contexts. By the end of the course, learners will have a solid foundation in English language skills and greater confidence in their ability to navigate life and work in an English-speaking country. This course is ideal for individuals looking to improve their English proficiency for personal, social, and professional purposes.
