Course overview

This is an introductory English course for Beginners who can already communicate a little bit. If you are interested in improving your ESOL skills with an online course and getting ready to take an ESOL E 2/E3 exam, this course can help you prepare. You will improve your speaking and listening as well as reading and writing skills to help you better your English at your own pace. Your tutor will give you extra study time for each level and module so you can reach your full potential. At the end of the course you will be offered an exams class.

Course description

On this ESOL course, everyday life will be explored (for example, shopping, health, local area and services). Students are invited to join from an E2 level to E3. You will learn using a variety of different methods and techniques. The teaching methodology will be interesting and communicative and the tutor will make sure you have time to discuss any questions you might have. The whole course will take place online – great if you have small children at home. The class will take place once a week.

This course is based on an online classroom setting.

You will learn about:

• Talking about your local area including schools, doctors and libraries

• Giving directions and understanding where places and things are

• New vocabulary, words and phrases.

· Using past tense to talk about your education as well as your past life

· Describing places you have visited in the past

You will develop your reading, writing and speaking and listening skills.

In addition to language structures; citizenship, employability and digital skills will also be embedded in the programme.

Assessment of learning will be done regularly throughout the course.

Information, advice and guidance will also be given to enable further course/professional progression.
