Entry Levels 1,2,3: If you have never studied this subject before and you’re not confident in your skills, Entry levels are a good starting point.
Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject
Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.
Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.
Beginners: A perfect introduction if you have no experience and skills in this subject.
Improvers: The next step if you have basic skills or knowledge but want to progress them further.
Advanced: Build on the solid experience and skills you have in this subject, applying your skills and knowledge in a more complex way.

Course description
Before you can join this course, you will need to do an English test to make sure the course is right for you. For more information and to book an appointment, please call 07825 720554. In this course we will talk about everyday topics like travel, health and where you live. We will practise short conversations and listening for information to help you talk to your neighbours, go to appointments by yourself, or join in with local groups. You will cover the following topics and skills: Give basic personal information; Ask for personal information; Ask for help; Express likes, dislikes and feelings; Follow instructions.
What you need: You will need a personal email address to join the WEA's digital learning platform, Canvas so that you can receive resources, record your progress and achievement and to work with others and share ideas.

Please also bring Official documents showing the correct spelling of your name, address and date of birth; a passport or residence card and proof of any benefits you receive.
