Course description
During this course you will learn how to measure various dimensions of an existing garment using numeracy and English skills. This includes calculating chest, waist, and sleeve length measurements and effectively communicating the results in a clear and concise manner. In essence, students will develop the ability to accurately measure and document key garment dimensions. You will also learn how to draft a pattern from measurements taken from an existing garment, tailoring the pattern to your personal measurements. You will develop basic pattern cutting techniques and apply them effectively to create a well-fitted and unique garment for your personal project. This includes using alteration techniques and creative elements to transform or enhance a garment to suit your preferences.
