Course description

This practical sewing course is ideal for both beginners and improvers who are ready to take the next step — making a dress from scratch! You’ll build confidence with key techniques including accurate measuring, cutting fabric, stitching seams, and creating your own paper pattern. Whether you’re completely new or looking to refresh your skills, you’ll gain knowledge to begin making your own dress.

Learning Outcomes:

· How to measure yourself correctly for a custom fit

· Fabric cutting techniques

· Essential stitching skills using a sewing machine

· How to draft a simple paper pattern for a dress

· Basic construction of an Umbrella dress
