Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.
Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.

Course description
This course is designed for individuals who have basic sewing experience and want to build on existing skills to tackle more advanced projects. Learners will build on their foundational knowledge learn to apply advanced sewing techniques, including different types of seams, stitches and finishes, which will help refine their craftsmanship. You will be able to understand how to work with a variety of fabrics, including stretch, delicate and heavyweight materials and improve your pattern reading and modification skills for more customized projects. Learners will be able to create more complex garments and home decorative items with professional finishes. Through doing this learners will be able to develop problem solving skills for common sewing challenges and mistakes. From mastering different types of stitches and seams to working with various fabrics and patterns, this course will empower students to create more intricate garments and textile projects. Ideal for those looking to enhance their sewing abilities, this course combines practical hands-on experience with creative exploration. Learners will also be able to foster creativity and individual style in many different sewing projects.
