An introduction to machine sewing for beginners. Learn how to use a sewing machine for a variety of projects. Understand sewing vocabulary, basic sewing techniques, types of stitches. Understand the function of bobbin in machine sewing for even smooth stitching. Troubleshoot problems as they occur.
Course description
Learn how to use a sewing machine with confidence to develop a skill and save money. Recognise and learn sewing vocabulary and experience the satisfaction and fulfilment of creating your own sewing projects.
You'll learn to make:
a patchwork pincushion
a recycled tote bag
a face mask.
By doing this sewing machine course, you wil will get a good understanding of how to use a sewing machine, supporting and strengthening family ties, supporting family finances, upcycling, improving health and wellbeing.
Once you've completed this course, you will have the opportunity to progress onto a machine sewing for improvers course or machine sewing to start a business.
