Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject

Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.

Course description
Learn how to use a sewing machine with confidence to develop a skill and save money. Recognise and learn sewing vocabulary and experience the satisfaction and fulfilment of creating your own sewing projects.
You'll learn to make:
a patchwork pincushion
a recycled tote bag
a face mask.
By doing this sewing machine course, you wil will get a good understanding of how to use a sewing machine, supporting and strengthening family ties, supporting family finances, upcycling, improving health and wellbeing.
Once you've completed this course, you will have the opportunity to progress onto a machine sewing for improvers course or machine sewing to start a business.
