Course overview

This introductory session will give you the tools you need to start working with maths in an enjoyable everyday situation. You will develop maths skills alongside sewing and recycling skills that you can share with friends, family and your children.

Course description

Using recycled and new materials, you will start to build your confidence to use maths skills in a new craft activity. You will use maths to build your knowledge and understanding of mathematical language, whilst developing your sewing and upcycling skills. You will start the process of designing and making Christmas baubles, calculating required resources and completing a finished article, while developing your maths skills, which can be shared with your family, friends and children.

What financial support is available?

We don't want anything to stand in your way when it comes to bringing Adult learning within reach so if you need anything to support you to achieve your goals then speak to one of our education experts during your enrolment journey. Most of our courses are government funded but if you don't qualify or need.

All of our digital content, teaching and learning activities and assessments are designed to be accessible so if you need any additional support you can discuss this with the education experts during your enrolment journey and we will do all we can to make sure you have optimal access.
