Entry Levels 1,2,3: If you have never studied this subject before and you’re not confident in your skills, Entry levels are a good starting point.
Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject
Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.
Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.
Beginners: A perfect introduction if you have no experience and skills in this subject.
Improvers: The next step if you have basic skills or knowledge but want to progress them further.
Advanced: Build on the solid experience and skills you have in this subject, applying your skills and knowledge in a more complex way.
Course overview
Course description
Join in group games to build confidence. A fun and friendly class for adults with learning disabilities.
Enjoy being part of a supportive team and everybody welcome in a safe and inclusive environment. Lots of encouragement and support to join in at your own pace. An exercise class based on dance moves to give you a full body workout but you are welcome to join in whilst seated if you need to.
We will start with a gentle warm up to wake up your muscles and the instructor will demonstrate everything and explain each move as you go.
Get yourself moving, improve your coordination, increase your flexibility and lift your mood. High impact and low impact options for every dance; choose simple moves or more challenging choreography. Dance along to a great range of music, new releases; golden oldies and firm favourites. Enjoy an end of lesson cool down, stretch and relaxation.
Please wear loose comfortable clothing and flat shoes, eg trainers and don't forget a drink of water.
