Art Practical: Beginners': Art – Practical Day School: Drawing Flowers and Gardens with Pastel

On this one day course you will have fun experimenting with expressive soft chalk pastel techniques to draw flowers and gardens, using photographs as a reference. The day school will be suitable if you are a complete beginner or if you want to improve your skills. There will be exercises to work through and one to one advice. The course aims to give you the confidence to work on your own projects in pastel at home. Basic materials and equipment will be provided; but there will be a small charge towards the cost of paper.

Art Practical: Building our Collaborative Sculpture

During this two day workshop you will work as part of a team to build a sculpture with the theme ‘Safe Passage’. The build will take place at the Tamar Bridge Visitor and Learning Centre, where the sculpture will later go on public display. You will also have the opportunity to join us for a celebration event later on in the autumn, when the finished artwork will be unveiled.
