Entry Levels 1,2,3: If you have never studied this subject before and you’re not confident in your skills, Entry levels are a good starting point.
Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject
Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.
Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.
Beginners: A perfect introduction if you have no experience and skills in this subject.
Improvers: The next step if you have basic skills or knowledge but want to progress them further.
Advanced: Build on the solid experience and skills you have in this subject, applying your skills and knowledge in a more complex way.

Course description
If you are someone inspired by the landscape and want to express this through painting and drawing, this course will give you the skills and inspiration you need.
During this course you will spend time sketching in the landscape where possible, work from photos and draw on uour experiences of landscapes.
You'll explore different techniques and creative approaches to create paintings and drawings using a variety of media. You will develop yourr skills in expressing yourself through landscape painting, whether you consider yourself a beginner or are looking to further develop your artistic practice.
This course gives everyone - from beginners up to intermediate - the opportunity to explore different landscape painting approaches and techniques in a relaxed and supportive environment. It explores a range of styles, from the conventional and representational to more experimental and avant-garde approaches.
Our highly experienced tutor, who is a practicing artist, provides practical and supportive advice on colour mixing, tonal variation, mark-making and composition. Your tutor will encourage you to explore your own personal enthusiasms to make individual and original paintings.
