Course overview

This mixed media short course is for anyone who would like to get creative and learn how to make decorative projects using paper, wool, fabric and other media. This workshop is for everyone, whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced learner. No prior knowledge or experience is required. This is a fun and friendly course aimed at bringing the community together. You will learn lots through practical activity at your local community venue. Demonstration and instructions will be given by our friendly and experienced tutor to help you make your own decorations to hang in your own home or gift to family & friends. A limited number of tools and materials will be provided by the tutor.

Course description

Explore your creative side and learn how to make decorative projects that can be used to decorate your house or even be used as gifts for friends and family. Learning a new skill is fun and therapeutic. This short course is for everyone, no prior knowledge or experience is required. Come along to this fun and friendly course and meet like-minded people. You will learn lots through this practical course, using different types of media to create sustainable projects. Don't worry, if you are a complete beginner. You will be given step by step instructions by our experienced tutor.

You will be able to make lovely projects that you can take home. All materials will be provided but you may wish to bring your own materials too.

This is a practical course where you will be creating decorative and useful projects. All learning material will be available on our digital learning platform, Canvas.

We don't want anything to stand in your way when it comes to bringing Adult learning within reach so if you need anything to support you to achieve your goals then speak to one of our education experts during your enrolment journey. Most of our courses are government funded but if you don't qualify or need alternative financial help to access them then let us know.
