Course overview

Join like-minded crafters and our enthusiastic tutor and try out some new techniques which you can incorporate into your paper-craft projects. We will look at and try out these techniques together and share any hints and tips we have learnt along the way. During the five weeks of this course, we will explore:  Working with paper napkins  Making the most of your scraps  Sourcing materials and supplies  Getting more from your acrylic stamps This course is suitable for beginners and for more experienced crafters who are interested in making more of their stash and learning some tips and techniques to help them do so.

Course description

On this creative course we are aiming to build your confidence as you experiment with different materials, learn new skills and develop techniques to help you to realise your creative potential.

There will be plenty of opportunities for you to ask questions and share your own paper-craft experiences with your classmates and tutor. You will be able to share your work and view others and offer and receive feedback from both your tutor and peers.

Throughout the duration of this creative course we will:

• Develop new skills and techniques to enhance your paper-craft projects.

• Build on your existing paper-craft skills and share your tips with others!

• Try our hand at creating our own textured card-stock!

• Look at tips and tricks for getting the best out of our craft punches.

During each session you will have the opportunity to comment on your classmates work and receive feedback on your own, from both your tutor and fellow learners.

This sharing of our creations and ideas can be incredibly inspiring and instil confidence in your own work and creative ability.

After this course you could try your hand at card making on our Easter Cards and Gifts course or if you are already a card maker and would like to stretch yourself what about our Diorama & Pop-Up card making course? Maybe you would prefer to try making a mini-album or a storage wallet for your craft ephemera:whatever you would like to have a go at next just pop over to the WEA website and see what’s on offer.

What financial support is available?

We don't want anything to stand in your way when it comes to bringing Adult learning within reach so if you need anything to support you to achieve your goals then speak to one of our education experts during your enrolment journey. Most of our courses are government funded but if you don't qualify or need alternative financial help to access them then let us know.
