Course description
During this course you will learn, how to create something new from something old by upcycling/recycling any old garments, fabric you already have.
This course will teach you, how to use a sewing machine, sewing machine functions and knowledge of different types of fabrics.
During this course you will learn different textile crafts, create something new from fabric you already have, use a sewing machine and craft tools and enlarge your knowledge of different types of fabric.
In this course you will have the opportunity to discuss your progress with the tutor. You will also be able to set your own personal learning goals and get one to one support towards achieving them. The friendly atmosphere will offer the opportunity to explore different techniques and tools and work on your own project.
The course will support adults on their journey to learn skills which help them progress either in work or life. Alongside the potential economic benefits, the course is intended to reduce loneliness and make people happier, healthier, more confident, capable and more resilient.
