Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject
Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.
Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.
Beginners: A perfect introduction if you have no experience and skills in this subject.
Improvers: The next step if you have basic skills or knowledge but want to progress them further.

Course overview
Course description
Making print blocks with your own designs is highly satisfying. They will be unique to you and you can produce some excellent results. In the session you will be shown how to design and produce a range of different print blocks. We will use a surface called neoprene that is easy to work with, cuts well and gives good print results. You will learn about application of colour, creating detail, combining your blocks and layering of print to create unique outcomes. Any paint can be used and a wide variety of papers or fabrics can be used to print on - bought new or recycled. You will produce a range of print results that will suitable for a broad use of applications from greetings cards to fabric design. A full list of materials and equipment will be available on Canvas.
