The aim of the course is to look at the history behind art and crafts and use this knowledge to create something new. (Note: this course is only for learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities in Weston-Super-Mare)
We will discover the history behind our favourite arts and crafts and how it has evolved over time. We will use our knowledge to create and showcase a new piece of art to the class.
Come along and join the fun as we experiment with different art forms and get to know new people.
During the course we will be researching and considering art and craft through time and looking at the history behind the techniques we use today. You will have the opportunity build upon your arts and crafts skills learnt in your previous course and then replicate some of the art and craft work from times gone by. You will learn new facts from history and also benefit from learning with and alongside others in the group.
