We work with partners in a multitude of ways. We develop and provide courses with national trade unions, local community groups, housing associations and other charities, and we often run courses from premises provided by voluntary organisations in towns and villages.
This enables us to be highly responsive to local communities and we often act very locally, well below the level of local authorities.
We also run regional programmes with a range of partners, for example with the NHS in the West Midlands, to provide bespoke programmes aimed at specific needs.
Action Towards Inclusion
The WEA is a pleased to be a delivery partner for the Action Towards Inclusion project. This £7m programme is a three year project funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and the European Social Fund for the York, North Yorkshire and East Riding LEP area. The programme offers flexible support to help adults overcome physical, psychological, financial and skills-related barriers and progress towards employment, training, education and job-search, whilst at the same time helping to combat a range of social issues including poverty and social exclusion. For more information please contact Simon Watterson on SWatterson@yourconsortium.org.
If you would like to find out more about how we can work with your organisation, contact your local regional office.
